2023 Kitchen Trends

When we sit down with clients to discuss what they want, we always recommend that it reflects their personalities while accommodating the whole family. Below, we’ll list some of the trends that we’re expecting to see in 2023. They’re timeless looks that will look great for many years to come.
Backsplashes
Backsplashes are finally making a comeback! In the past few years, many homeowners were opting to not have a backsplash. Now, we are seeing a shiny backsplash trend. Homeowners are choosing tiles that are easy to clean and ones that look beautiful. Opt for a fun color like green or blue to use as an accent; or, choose a neutral color like white or light gray.
Natural elements
Lately, the trend of having a natural wood element in kitchens is all the rave. As consumers work towards being more eco-friendly and using less plastic, wood and other natural elements in kitchens is a great way to be more green! In this design, we chose a natural wood finish on open shelves, a natural wood finish on the cabinets, all tied together with the bamboo-inspired blinds; plus, that marble backsplash makes it even more beautiful.
Kitchen lighting
Don’t forget to brighten up your space with lighting fit for designers! Lighting can make a room looking amazing, warm, and inviting. Lighting trends for 2023 are going to be clean and simple lines that don’t distract from the detailed cabinets.
Metal accents
We all know that marble and wood are a current must-have in any home. The two pair really well together - it’s no wonder it’s so popular right now. One thing to not forget about is having a metal accent in the kitchen. Different shades of wood complement different types of metal. Warmth and contrast are two aspects that should be taken into account when choosing the right metal. Copper can create an amazing contemporary style, while gold creates a luxe, modern look. In this case, the gold accents really popped against the dark cabinetry. We love how this project turned out.
Wallpaper accent wall
Wallpaper in the kitchen?! Sounds crazy, right? Well, it’s the newest trend and we’re loving it. Check out this wood accent wall that was put behind the stove. It offers a wood look with an intricate design to add dimesion and character. Did you know that there are wallpapers especially designed for kitchens? They are created with materials that are heat-resistant, wipeable, and durable to last many many years. Choose between matte, shiny, or flat. The choices are honestly endless!
